The family has had a strong presence throughout Mid Sussex for centuries. Our line is associated with Horsham and Nuthurst in the early generations. The picture is of Stakers Farm, Southwater near Horsham, c. 1930. William Walder was in residence in the early 1600's, more information and images on the links in the Page Map below. |

| There are other Walder families in Sussex. As many of them were of the Baptist faith they are difficult to link up because of the lack of normal parish records. However as the research continues we hope to connect them into the main line. The pages below should be treated as work in progress, they are updated frequently. |
